Maximize Leads from Your Next Home Improvement Show: Part Five
In the last installment of our 9-part guide to maximizing your home improvement show leads, we told you how to use landing pages to capture leads. Your online contact form is a major component of any landing page, and it is the one that will deliver the best results for you. In fact, 49.7% of companies say that online forms are their most successful lead generation tool with the highest conversion rate.
Here are some ways you can streamline your lead capture form so you don’t miss out on any leads that could potentially become future customers:
5. Streamline Your Online Lead Capture Form
When you last tested your lead capture form, was it easy to sign up? Is it clear to the visitor what they next step will be after they submit their information?
You want to make the consultation sign-up fast and easy, with questions that will help you identify the most qualified leads.
At the very least, your form should include the following details:
-
- Name
- Email Address
- Phone Number
And skip the generic “How can we help?” text box. Have specific questions on your form like:
- Project Type (with checkboxes for the services you offer)
- Project Timing (this month, next few months, this year, etc.)
By making your form specific, you collect the most pertinent information that will allow you to have an effective follow-up that addresses their specific needs.
As you build your online contact form, decide how much information you need, and what specific information will be most useful to you. Remember that if a form is too long, even your strongest leads could lose interest in filling it out.
